Quick Straight Teeth
Aesthetic orthodontics uses arches and brackets similar to those used in normal orthodontics. The main difference is that aesthetic ceramic brackets and white archwires make the appliance much less visible.
Aesthetic orthodontics have the same efficacy as traditional orthodontics. It consists of correcting the position of the teeth but using barely visible materials and components.
It is carried out to allow people to correct the position of their teeth in a short time period without metal ‘train tracks’.
What is Quick Straight Teeth System?
When it comes to smile correction, more and more people are reluctant to wear braces with visible metal components. Quick Straight Teeth is now an alternative to traditional orthodontic appliances that can solve this problem in an aesthetic manner. QST for short comes under the banner of short term orthodontics. It would reside in a similar stable to Six Month Smiles and Invisalign Go.
Quick Straight Teeth is an innovative, convenient and effective orthodontic method to treat tooth misalignment and give a perfect smile to the patient. The Quick Straight Teeth fixture focus only on the front teeth and can correct minor to moderate problems.
It is important to note that QST or Quick Straight Teeth is used to straighten the front 6-8 teeth only, it is a cosmetic treatment to improve the appearance of the smile. This is often known as the social six and may well be the most important area to correct for most adult patients. Bite issues and more complicated orthodontic problems need comprehensive treatment to achieve full correction. QST is intended to be an adult treatment as with children a more idealistic result is usually achievable
Speed – The average treatment time varies between 12 and 24 weeks, depending on the complexity.
Cost – due to the speed of treatment times QST is one of the most cost-effective systems available.
Appearance – Quick Straight Teeth fixtures are attached to the teeth with high-quality coloured brackets and wires, making them virtually invisible.
Comfort – QST straps are designed to ensure maximum comfort.
Quick Straight Teeth is a short-term form of Orthodontics. This short-term orthodontic system is generally appropriate for the patient who is already satisfied with the position of the posterior teeth and only intends to act on the front teeth. Quick Straight Teeth system works on the front teeth that are crowded and require alignment but does not affect the posterior teeth. QST is suitable for all adults with healthy teeth and gums with the possible exception of very severe crowding.
A first appointment will serve as an evaluation of the complete case. In an initial consultation, we will examine the oral cavity to determine whether there is a need to treat any existing problems, such as gingival disease or decay.
Afterwards, our specialists will take digital photographs, X-rays, and impressions of your teeth and then evaluate the occlusion (bite) and examine your smile. This information will then be sent to the Quick Straight Teeth laboratory to create the appropriate device.
You will need to visit our dentist every 4-5 weeks to adjust the appliance until the end of treatment.
Once your teeth are aligned with the Quick Straight Teeth System, we will provide you with a retainer to keep your teeth stable.
You may also want to consider having your teeth whitened once your teeth have been straightened, to get the best out of your new smile. Usually your retainers can be used as whitening trays.
Even though QST uses aesthetic ceramic brackets and white wires some patients will still not like the idea of fixed braces. For those patients, the Invisalign orthodontic system uses invisible and removable aligners made to measure for your teeth. The aligners are placed in both dental arches, allowing them to make light movements gradually to achieve an improvement of the smile both aesthetically and functionally.
The Invisalign Lite System is indicated in patients with mild malocclusions or retreatments using up to 14 aligners.
The Invisalign Comprehensive System is indicated in patients with more complex malocclusions using as many aligners as necessary until reaching the clinical objective.
Once the treatment is finished, the teeth tend to return to their original position, to avoid these movements adequate retention is essential. This usually involves a clear tray worn at night with or without a permanent retainer fixed inside the front teeth.
